Change is Hard...Or is it?

Did you know that 95% of who we are by the age of 35 is programmed into us? Meaning your brain and body is hard-wired to get out of bed the same way every morning, have the same daily thoughts, and do the same things over, and over, and over again, without as much as a single thought.

No wonder why change is hard. Your life experiences and beliefs have programmed you to think, act, and behave a certain way.

So to make a change means you have to change your programming.

The process starts with becoming aware of your actions and behaviors. Can you wake up 30 minutes earlier? Can you change the way you drive to work just to interrupt your programming? Can you drink tea instead of your morning coffee?

What can you do differently to change the monotony of your programming?

Admittedly, my programming has been faulty lately too. I’ve been telling myself that I’m “healthy”, but my actions didn’t corroborate that story.

I wasn’t exercising and my eating habits were atrocious. But, of course, I had excuse after excuse as to why it was okay. And that I would start tomorrow. Tomorrow…the infamous black hole where all your healthy exercise and eating habits go to never be seen again.

But something had to give. So here I am changing my programming and hoping to inspire you to do the same. Don’t wait until tomorrow. You, your family, and your future self will thank you.
