PRENATAL CHIROPRACTIC CARE
Whether this is your first or fifth pregnancy, this is an exciting time for both you and your baby! While your excitement is growing, your body is working to accommodate and nourish your precious little one. Pregnant women experience changes--physically, emotionally, and chemically--on a daily basis from the moment of conception.
Chiropractic care before, during, and after pregnancy is beneficial to both mom and baby! It can help reduce pain experienced during pregnancy, reduce labor and delivery times, allow for optimal baby positioning, reduce the need for painkillers during delivery, and help ensure you experience an empowered birth.
Gentle and specific chiropractic adjustments make it easier to integrate this new experience with efficiency and ease, so you can focus and enjoy the wonders of this magnificent time without unnecessary medical interventions. Whether you are trying to conceive or are already pregnant, having your spine and nervous system functioning optimally can create a healthy and comfortable environment for you and your baby.
Not only is chiropractic safe during pregnancy, it's also safe and effective during the birthing process. Some women have even received chiropractic care during labor to aid in reducing pain during delivery and to aid in the birthing process.
Dr. Kasey has one son, Cullen, who was born naturally with the assistance of a midwife and her family by her side. She is passionate about natural birth and empowering women to experience the birthing process as it was intended. And just like any proud mom, Dr. Kasey is more than happy to share her birth story with anyone interested.
Dr. Kasey is certified in the Webster Technique through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment used to restore balance and function to mom's pelvis during pregnancy.
Benefits of the Webster Technique include:
- Creating an optimal environment for proper fetal positioning in-utero,
- Faster labor and delivery times,
- Reduced pain experienced during pregnancy, labor and delivery.
PEDIATRIC CHIROPRACTIC CARE
Children grow, heal, and change at a rapid rate. Beyond pain and symptoms, a state of well-being is achieved when our bodies are functioning, performing, integrating, and processing optimally. This is true in children as well.
Starting with the birthing process, your child experiences an enormous amount of stress on his spine. And as your child grows and develops, the likelihood of spinal subluxations only increases as his body begins to integrate and process all the new information. Learning to roll, sit, crawl, and walk are all developmental milestones and important stages in a child's life to have his spine and nervous system checked. As your child becomes more mobile and active in regular childhood activities, small yet significant spinal misalignments may occur. As subluxations build up or are prolonged in the spine, it becomes more difficult for your body to properly integrate incoming information, which is when different symptoms may manifest. Chiropractic care can help your child's spine and nervous system adapt to symptoms related to colic, reflux, constipation, immune dysfunction, bedwetting, ear infections, allergies, headaches, neck and back pain, learning disorders, attention spectrum disorders, among many others. Ultimately, chiropractic care can help children adapt to these stressors so their bodies are functioning at a higher level.
In childhood, we develop the foundation for the rest of our lives, so it's important to give your child the best start possible!
